The Wadebridge Folk Festival will take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend in 2010, Friday 27th August to Mondy 31st. This will be the fourth Wadebridge Folk Festival run by Hobgoblin Music, and we're doing everything we can to make it the best one yet, with even better value for money than ever before!

Martin Carthy & Dave Swarbrick, and Andy Irvine to Headline

After a fourteen year break, Carthy and Swarbrick are once again performing together, and we are over the moon that they will be headlining the festival. "The super-duo are back together after 14 years." The Guardian "Swarbrick is an absolute revelation here, as instinctively sympathetic and wickedly inspirational as he ever was. It’s like they were a couple of twenty somethings again. To hear Swarb bowing with such soul and tenderness and dynamism too is an unconditional joy." fRoots

Andy Irvine has been hailed as "a tradition in himself." Musician, singer and songwriter, Andy has maintained both personal integrity and highly individual performing skills throughout his 40-year career. From Sweeney's Men in the mid sixties to the enormous success of Planxty in the 70s, to THE Irish super group, Patrick Street, in the 80s, Andy has been a world music pioneer and icon for traditional music and musicians.

Season Ticket Prices Held from Last Year

Can it be true? The festival is even more fun packed this year, with more venues, more events and lots more fun planned than the very successful 2009 festival. But we're keeping the price the same. A mere £60 (before 1st July, £66 afterwards) for a full season ticket to cover all four days of the festival, or £34.50 for the under 16s.

The season tickets and camping tickets are on sale now at www.wadebridgefolk.co.uk - don't miss out on the bargain of the decade!

Skinners Brewery (& Betty Stoggs) on board as Major Sponsor

Skinners Brewery have very kindly agreed to part-sponsor the festival, and the famous Betty Stoggs character will be around at the weekend providing entertainment for all. This is fantastic news for the festival, present and future!

Working Timetable Published

You can now see roughly what's on and when at www.wadebridgefolk.co.uk. Some arrangements are still being made, so the timetable is still a 'working' version at this time.

Festival Campsite Field Announced

Little Bodeive have put aside a field at their campsite specifically for the festival. Camping is £8 per night per adult and £5 per night per under 16.

More venues, more going on, biggest Hobgoblin-run Wadebridge festival yet

As you will see when you check the timetable, there's more going on than ever this year, so whatever time of day it is, there will be something to do! There will also be a lot more street entertainment than in previous years.

Children's festival to take place at The Goods Shed

We've increased the amount of children's entertainment at the festival, with more children's workshops, Punch and Judy shows, and further children's entertainment to be announced. The Children's festival will be running at The Goods Shed.

Food and beer to be available in the Town Hall, provided by Skinners Brewery

Skinners Brewery will be serving hot and cold food as well as beer and other drinks at the Town Hall during the festival.

Thanks for your Feedback!

Over the last few years, we have collected feedback after each Wadebridge Festival. We've had loads and loads of positive comments, and we've tried to keep in all the things you said you liked, for example lots of local Cornish music, Family Ceilidhs, the various acts you particularly enjoyed. We've also listened to your suggestions wherever we can, which is why we're delighted now to be able to offer food in the town hall, excellent sound quality at the events, more children's entertainment, more street entertainment and a campsite dedicated to festival goers. Without your support, the festival would not have succeeded over the last few years. 2009 was the most enjoyable Hobgoblin-run Wadebridge festival to date, and we are very confident that 2010 is going to be even better. Thanks for your help in keeping the festival going!

No guarantee can be given that any events will take place, or any artists will perform at a particular time, or at all. We will, however, make every effort to carry out the programme as advertised.
